If you haven’t crossed paths with her already during her 20 years on the PUBLIQ team, meet Gayle. As an Account Representative for our Sales department, Gayle manages 16 counties’ tax offices throughout South Carolina. On a normal day, you’ll find her assisting her counties, ensuring they are taken care of and their businesses running smoothly, and discussing our tax applications with potential clients. She has a deep connection with her clients, not only because she has a lot of experience in her field, but also because she used to work in tax offices herself. As her first career, Gayle held positions as assessor and auditor for Cherokee County, and she also studied Business Management at Limestone College. She knows her stuff!
Gayle currently lives in Gaffney, South Carolina, where she was born and raised, and she has a big family with two sons, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. When she’s not working hard, Gayle is very involved with her church, where she plays organ and piano. She describes herself as a people-person and says she loves surrounding herself with others, which is a big reason she enjoys her job so much.
Called “Mama Gayle” by her coworkers and clients, it’s no surprise Gayle is one of a kind and a special part of the team. Her favorite part of working for PUBLIQ is the relationships she has with her coworkers. She said, “I work with a great bunch of people. Everybody helps each other out. We’re like a family.”
