The Town of Oil City, LA, has been using PUBLIQ’s software and services since November 2019. Recently, we caught up with Town Clerk Kisha Newsom to learn more about her role and her office’s experience as a PUBLIQ customer.
Kisha has worked for the Town of Oil City for nine years. Her position in the Administration department requires her to be responsible for payroll, utilities, tax collections, and accounting. It’s safe to say her days are never slow! She says she stays busy from the moment she walks in the door and credits PUBLIQ’s products for helping her manage her increasingly full plate. She says, “I never have to wonder if the software is performing to standard.”
It’s almost the two-year anniversary of the day the Town of Oil City went live with our software. They use our Utility Billing, Payroll, Accounting Suite, Centralized Collections, and Municipal Tax solutions, and Kisha says the systems are streamlined, easy to use, and “have every report you could ever need.”
A fan of PUBLIQ’s events, Kisha attended one of our last in-person conferences, which took place in Texarkana, AR, in early 2020. She enjoys chatting with our Sales and Training teams. When Kisha isn’t working, her favorite hobbies are reading, listening to music, and going on coffee dates with friends. She says her office is like a family, and they work well and stick together through thick and thin.
