In March 2005, Josh Vickery joined PUBLIQ fresh out of Presbyterian College, where he received his Business Administration degree. He started out as a software trainer and was later promoted to Training supervisor. Now, he serves on our Product Management team as product analyst for our finance, utility billing, and tax products.
Josh plays a key role in creating our software releases. As a liaison for each department, including Client Services, Training, and Sales, he writes functional specs for enhancements and fixes based on their requests as well as the feedback we receive from customers. In fact, if you’re an active member of our Customer Forum on the Hub, you’ve probably talked to Josh. He’s heavily involved in responding to our customers’ questions and concerns and takes them into consideration when planning software releases.
Josh says his favorite parts about working for PUBLIQ are the friendships he has with his coworkers and the satisfaction he gets from making our customers happy, while making their jobs easier with new software enhancements.
Although Josh grew up in Anderson, SC, he now lives in Fountain Inn with his wife and two kids. On his days off, he loves traveling with them to new places, such as the beach and different cities. Together, they enjoy going to college and major league baseball games as well as Clemson games (Go Tigers!). They’re also very active in team sports in their community – playing baseball, softball, flag football, and basketball. Josh even coaches his kids’ teams!
